Two rising stars in the pop up / fast casual dining scene have been offered a six month residency and mentorship at Brixton Village, after they won the Brixton Village CompetitionFerdinand Montoya, winner of the experienced category, will bring Filipino supper club Sarap to Brixton Village for its first standalone site, while amateur winner Adejoké Bakare will introduce her West African concept Chishuru to the public for the first time via a weekend pop-up.

Situated in the heart of Brixton, Brixton Village is a cultural and creative space where existing traders thrive and new traders can be established.  Having just finished a residency at Soho pub, The Sun and 13 Cantons, Ferdinand Montoya has become known for his superb Lechon, Filipino slow-roasted pork belly, with thin, brittle crackling.  He hopes to establish an identity for Philippino cooking in London.

Bruce Gillingham Pollard is proud to act on behalf of the landlord at Brixton Market.
