Former supper Club chef, Aida Khan is to open her first permanent restaurant site at London’s White City Place.  Shola Karachi Kitchen follows Aida’s super popular Gourmet Karachi Supper Club, and is to be her first bricks and mortar venture.

Aida started out as a banker in London and Karachi, however, her passion for cooking and more importantly, the food she grew up with, led her to study at Leith’s School of Food and Wine.  She went on to host two seasons of the Pakistani TV show For the Love of Food, before relocating to London and bringing the food she grew up with her.

Speaking to London Eater in a recent article, Aida said: “We are delighted to be opening our first proper restaurant at White City Place. Shola pays homage to the real cuisine of Pakistan, often based on recipes and techniques passed down over generations. We are passionate about using fresh, seasonal ingredients to produce a contemporary and approachable experience of the traditional flavours of Karachi.”

Shola is opening at the end of February.  Bruce Gillingham Pollard is delighted to have secured the site on behalf of Stanhope.
