Nick Garston to trek through Jordan in support for Action Against Hunger
A glutton for punishment after his four-day trek in the Simien mountains of Ethiopia last year, Nick Garston is going back for more - but this time taking on an epic six-day challenge trekking across Jordan, all in the name of charity! The route will follow the Rift Valley and end in the ancient city of Petra.
Our head of tenant representation will be in good company; he joins a team of top chefs and other key figures in the UK restaurant industry from brands including Hawksmoor, The Dairy, Lemon Fox, Good Food Society, Sabor, Margot and many more. The full team can be viewed here.
Whilst a huge challenge for Nick and the team, the aim of the trek is to raise as much money as possible for Action Against Hunger, an apt cause for a team who spend their working lives consumed with food. Action Against Hunger's mission is to create a world free from hunger. Money raised will go to a number of projects including their work in Jordan where the charity is helping over 46,000 Jordanians and refugees a year, following the crisis in the Syria region in 2013. Their work spans water, sanitation and hygiene responses as well as psychological support and improving food security.
Nick be fundraising for the charity alongside his intense training regime in order to reach his goal of £5,000. If you would like to support Nick and fund AAF's amazing work, any donations would be gratefully recieved through the Everyday Hero website.
