Centre Point — London
Changing the heart of Central London
Almacantar, appointed Bruce Gillingham Pollard as sole leasing agents for the retail and restaurant element of the scheme, which comprise over 48,000 sq ft of A1 and A3. This includes a brand new glass box retail unit, adjacent to the new Crossrail station at Tottenham Court Road, which will be one of the busiest transport interchanges in Central London.
Rick Mather Architects and Conran and Partners are reviving its sixties design appeal alongside cutting edge design and technology. A new public space will be built to allow a major transport interchange exiting directly into a retail square at Centre Point. External dining will also be introduced. The road passing through and under the Centre Point Link Bridge will be removed and shops and restaurants introduced around the perimeter.
A landmark seen from every corner of the capital, Centre Point is due for completion and trading in the Spring 2017.
On 9th and 11th March 2013, Almacantar held a public exhibition of its revised proposals to regenerate Centre Point Tower, Centre Point Link, Centre Point House and the Intrepid Fox.The exhibition boards that were on display are available from the link below.
