Narcissa, New York

A neighbourhood feel

A neighbourhood feel

Nigel Gillingham

Quoted by the New York Times to have “Staggering Originality”, Narcissa is the work of André Balazs and Michelin-starred chef John Fraser’s. This Californian inspired restaurant boasts of sourcing ‘farm to  table’ ingredients straight from Balazs’ very own Hudson Valley Farm.
Located within the Standard Hotel, the space, instead of one large room, consists of two separate dining rooms. The first with rows of wooden tables and an open kitchen, the second a more ski lodge come restaurant.
Food was amazing and the restaurant itself had a very neighbourhood feel to it - its very destination. For us this is definitely worth a visit when coming to New York - bit out of the way but worth making that extra bit of effort!
