Lululemon ‘Hub Seventeen’, New York

A real taste for the Lululemon lifestyle

A real taste for the Lululemon lifestyle

Victoria Broadhead

I was told to make sure i visitied Lululemon's new flagship store in New York City's Flatiron District as an experience to remember. The store is 11,500 sq.ft and is the brand's largest flagship location, placed in amongst brands such as Sweaty Betty and Athleta, as well as many of the most popular boutique fitness studios — Flywheel Sports, Exhale, SLT, Pure Barre, and two SoulCycle studios. On the main floor, men’s and women’s apparel is divided into two sides and at the front of the store sits a digital board which allows you to search for anything down to a reservation at your favourite restaurant.
Nearly half of the store is dedicated to community space named ‘Hub Seventeen’ which is found downstairs. It comes complete with a kitchen, long community tables, and a living room area as well as space for work out classes. Lululemon's stores of course already have yoga classes, but Hub Seventeen will take it up a notch as this is the first time they have created a dedicated community space separate from the retail experience.
To top it all off they also offer a concierge service - making shopping a luxurious experience, with a coat check, water, a coffee bar, snacks, and a phone-charging station. You can also have your purchases delivered to your home, office, or hotel, so no need for lugging big Lululemon bags around during the day. This is no ordinary store, you get a real taste of the Lululemon lifestyle.
