Victoria Broadhead

John Doe is a wood fire restaurant situated on Golborne Road. The restaurant is the brainchild of four old friends who named the restaurant after the American version of Joe Bloggs - John Doe – an unidentified person.
The street-level floor has a large open kitchen, some seating at the front overlooking Golborne Road, tables at the back, lots of white tiles and stylish lighting. The décor is minimal with no tablecloths, wooden floor and plain white tiled and painted wall. Downstairs is also open for business.
The fantastic aroma of charcoal and woodsmoke, which hits you as soon as you walk through the door, originates from the wood-fire oven named ‘Bertha’! The menu is of course designed around Bertha and is as delicious as the  smell leads you to believe. Most definitely worth a visit- you have to find out what Bertha is all about!
