Fallon & Byrne, Dublin

A 'foodies' paradise

A 'foodies' paradise

Nigel Gillingham

You do not have to travel half way round the world to find a “foodies” paradise! Fallon & Byrne is a restaurant, wine bar and food hall in a stunning, red brick former warehouse building in Dublin’s Exchequer Street and located over four levels.
The concept is very simple with locally sourced produce prepared and cooked in their restaurant, wine bar and café. Much of the fresh produce used in their restaurant and café can also be bought in their Food Hall which is beautifully presented but this isn’t about ‘show’ – this is a real place to buy your ingredients!
Fallon & Byrne is now in its 10th year but is constantly evolving to stay ahead in its game. Last year they started making their own bread, bringing in three frenchman to make the delictable delights - their sourdough baguette is hugely popular. I wish we had one in London, wondering through the store is a delight unlike so many!
