Aberdeen Street Social, Hong Kong

A beautiful green setting for dinner and drinks in an otherwise concrete jungle

A beautiful green setting for dinner and drinks in an otherwise concrete jungle

Emily Spencer

Whilst on a very brief trip to Hong Kong we had the delight of visiting Aberdeen Street Social, set within the PMQ in the trendy SoHo district. Albeit a fleeting visit with friends, we’d enjoyed the delights of SoHo’s nightlife a little too much the night before so the contemporary and chilled out setting of Aberdeen Street Social was most welcome!
Owned by Michelin star Chef Jason Atherton and entrepreneur Yenn Wong, this is their third collaboration in Hong Kong. Bright, airy and modern, with alfresco dining over both floors, the restaurant enjoys views over the garden, making for a pretty inspiring setting in an otherwise concrete jungle.

It was a beautiful warm evening so we chose to eat outside on the balcony, the sofas and candlelit table created a comfortable and relaxed dining experience. The varied menu offers modern British cuisine from myriad sharing plates and pizzas to crustaceans and meat from the grill, even the fussiest eaters will struggle to leave hungry.

The fun cocktails, cool setting and lively SoHo location make it the perfect destination for either social or more intimate gatherings, all hours of the day.
